Tomatoes, Carmelized with Olive Oil
Using a quality olive oil and garden or farm fresh tomatoes is ideal for this rich and flavorful addition to a variety of meals, like sandwiches, salads, and pasta dishes. Be sure to keep them in the oven long enough to carmelize around the edges, but not so long that they burn. The carmelization will bring out a flavor you won’t forget. Tomatoes, Carmelized with Olive Oil Recipe
Preheat the oven to 275 degrees. Cut tomatoes in half or thickly slice. Place on a baking sheet oiled with olive oil, seed side up. Drizzle with olive oil and lightly salt. Bake for 3-5 hours, until the edges of the tomatoes are caramelized.
