This is a favorite with kids and adults in our house.
Banana Ice Cream with Sweet & Salty Almonds Recipe
Cut up 4 bananas and freeze until completely frozen (I put them in ice trays or separate the slices on a piece of wax paper on a baking sheet so they don’t all clump together.
Roast 1/4 cup almonds in oven until fragrant and lightly browned (if using whole almonds chop first, I used slivered almonds to make it easy). Toss with a pinch of course sea salt and 2 teaspoons maple syrup.
Put the bananas in a powerful blender or food processor with 1 tsp vanilla extract, 1/2 cup unsweetened almond milk, and 2 tab maple syrup. Blend and enjoy immediately sprinkled with almonds.
