4 cups flour
2 tbsp sugar
1 tablespoon baking powder
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 quart plain yogurt
1/2 cup olive oil
Mix dry ingredients in a bowl. Crack eggs and spoon yogurt into the center of the dry ingredients and mix the wet together slowly adding the dry from around the sides. Mix until just mixed. The waffles will turn out tough if over-mixed. Spoon into a waffle maker and cook until the steam slows down and check for golden waffles.
I make a big batch and freeze single waffles to have on hand. We eat them with Keifer and maple/agave syrup poured on them.

These green glass plates belonged to our grandmother. She had stacks and stacks of them with large and small glass juice cups to match. Mostly used for large dinner parties, I recall our grandfather pouring sparkling white grape juice into them and serving desserts to friends in the evenings at his home.
